1969 Chevy C-10 Cowl Replacement

Hi Chevy Fans

I am pretty new to the cite, I just bought a 1969 Chevy C-10 pickup it was the old orange shop truck off ebay. It was surpose to be super solid, but after inspecting it closer the cowl will need to be replaced. Yeap, I know I paid too much!

I wanted to know if any of you has done this procedure. If so can you direct me to a thread with plenty of pictures. I will be doing the work myself. I can weld and have taken a few body classes, but I always have been afraid to rush into the big projects. Therefore, I normally just pay someone else to do it. I really want to do this one my self and I have set a budget on this truck. It is an old shop truck, it will be used to tow my classic car to the car shows. With the exception of the cowl being totally ate out on the corners, a patch panel or two on the firewall, toe panels (the vent hole are ate out) , and patching the corners of floor panel, it is really in good shape.

Additionally, I thought about blocking off the cowl and just making or installing some other type of fresh air system. Any ideas or suggestions.
