Whining noise while driving?

I have this noise coming from my '89 Suburban when I accelerate, steady cruise, and slowing down...it sounds like a SUPERCHARGER whine. It does not do it when idling, only when moving. Any ideas? I have already replaced the center support bearing and u-joints,serviced the trans hoping to find answers, but to no avail....any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm starting to think trans, but dont know.
