Vent Window Replacement

I am needing to replace the vent window in an old 72 door (window channel is all chewed/torn up and the window won't go up or down) and don't really want to replace the top/back window channel or the rubber anti-rattle along the bottom of the window. Don't want to spend the money. Is it possible to get the vent window in and out without damaging either of these two items? Everytime I have stripped a door down I have pulled both before pulling the vent window and they always seem to get torn up removing them. Thanks.
