I guy brought this 6 cyl boat engine in the scrap, he said it is a good engine he had saved for years for a boat project but never used.

I asked a mechanic who's brother is a boat mechanic and he said the engine will work fine in a truck. It has looser clearances and a mild cam for boat applications, but will haul @$$ in a truck.

I pulled the oil cap and it is as clean as new in the valve area, so I am thinking it may be a good runner.

Anyone know if this is correct info on it being able to be run on the street ?
