Thumbs up Checking in to Report: Back on the Road - FINALLY!

After 7 long years of fun, agony, frustration, mental melt-downs, parts returns and head banging on the work bench I am proud to report that I have my 49 back on the road, safety inspected, tagged (all legit-like)

Took the first ride Saturday and now have 280 incident free miles - well, a leaky thermostat gasket, but it's running great and man, is it nice to finally get to drive this thing again!

A lot of you have provided more help, advice and encouragement than you will ever know - a shout out to all of you for being here and being willing to help!

Of course it's not 'done' (are they ever?) - I still have to install the front lip, door panels and healdiner, but after 7 years I'm in no hurry

If your on one of those 'long hauls' with your project hang in there - take breaks when you need to (keeps us sane) but stay the course and it'll be well worth it!
