Soon to be one of the 5.3 crowd..but tank/radiator?
I know this has been asked a gazillion times already, but trust me...I've searched, searched, read and then read some more...got the wife asking why I'm on the computer so much this past weekend! Just not finding any solid info.
Anyways...got an '09 5.3L / 4L60E swap im doing in my 67 2wd. I cant find some answers even with all the searching/reading I've done 1) Fuel Tank: I plan on running a 87-90 Jeep wrangler 15 gallon tank, with an '87 blazer sending unit and EP381 fuel pump. I'll mate this up to a Corvette filter/regulator WIX #33737 since I have a single feed fuel rail on the 5.3 Does this sound right? What are you guys doing for fuel tank caps? I have a wood bed floor in my truck so I am not against using a flush mount cap but I see they are all 1-1/2" dia while the jeep tank has a 1" fill line? Just a simple reducer? 2) Radiator: I already have a 3 core alum radiator on my truck...I see alot of long upper hoses being used in all the pics I've seen but what about the size difference? rad. upper is 1-1/2" dia and LS eng is 1-1/4" dia? rad. lower is 1-3/4" and LS eng is 1-1/2" dia? What are you doing for hoses? |
