New to forum, need lift advice
Hello guys, I finally bought a 1988 GMC Jimmy 4x4 I have wanted one of these since I could drive. I have some 36x14.50x16 STS tires mtd on 16x10 AR wheels and I want to put them on my Jimmy with a lift. Problem is I dont want to much lift or too little lift. I was thinking 6", but these fenderwheels are so big I was wondering if a simple 4" would suffice. I have only had IFS lifts in the past so I really need some help and good advice on lift size, lift brand and anything else I will need or should do to run these tires and install this lift. Will d-shaft need to be lengthened etc?
Just fyi...I live in south Texas so theres no rocks to crawl, or alot of "flexy" situations. I plan on using this Jimmy for beach trips (wade fisherman) and camping...basically light offroading. This is my daily driver. Thanks alot guys, any info will be greatly appreciated JB Heres a picture of my Jimmy just to show what were working on.
