QJet Rebuild Kits

Hi ya, its been a while. My 86 may need to have it's Quadrajet rebuilt. What kits have you used or recommend? My mechanic friend will be doing the rebuild, not me. Anyway, I have an 86 C 20 with 350 SBC, 4 bbl, & 400 turbo. Within the last month I started to use premium gas as suggested and it started to run better - no more backfiring or runon. Then recently it started running a little rough like it sounds like it always driving in 2nd gear, yet it shifts okay. Takes a long time for it to warm up without cutting out. Need feedback. Thanks...
