New doors, new parts, touching story.

Ok im gonna start off with the parts i have retrieved today. My buddy caught his eye on craigslist new door shells That you can buy out of a classic industries or LMC truck catalog for 150 for both. I jumped on it. They are brand new out of the box. i also bought two other older used doors off him for the hard ware for $50. they looked good but the doors have been bondoed. so i took apart the driver side older door and put the latch linkage in with no problem. But why did he sell em so cheap. The guy and me talked last night about the deal. he told me his 16 year old son had inheirted his grand dads truck, the one his sons grand dad had drove till he passed away a year ago. the truck was an 85 C10. how the kid didnt want the doors cause the original rusted ones reminded him more of his grand dad and him going hunting or fishing together.. i was touched. told the guy sorry for his loss, and he said it was ok. So really im happy for the new doors, but i guess i can say full heartly that the kid knows exactly what he wants. But at the same time i feel i got two new doors because of some one elses loss. he even gave me a new driver side cab corner and rocker panel because he liked me. Thats what he said but idk if the guy himself is morning still over the loss. he was real nice and generous.

Ok so trying not to be to depressed because i just ordered the DJM 3 inch drop spindles for my truck and a DJM flip kit 5 inch drop for the rear. I also ordered a nice looking roll pan for replacing my huge bulky rear bumper from classic industries. this is what i have been waiting for.
