Re: Post Pics of your 1960-1966 Chevrolet & GMC Scale Model Pickups
I've got a Revel fleetside that I need to finish. I chopped the front clip off and cut out the trans crossmember to get it low. I had a '53 Vette crossmember that was the right width so it'll get grafted back onto the frame. I picked up the wheels (Pegasus brand I think?)at a model car show a couple years ago, had to narrow the front mounting surfaces to get them to tuck.
First mock up after cutting the front clip, inner fenders, and trans crossmember out. Still too high, especially the rear. Fenderwells will have to be cut and raised/widened . 'Vette crossmember mocked up. Sits better, still need to modify the rear fenderwells. Also stole the motor from the 'Vette model but it'll get replaced with an LSx with four webers just like my real truck will have.
