Cab Question

So I have been looking at the mass of smashed in corners on the back of my cab, and more and more thinking it will never look right, even after hours of body work. So I just wanted to know if a 2wd cab will for sure fit a 4wd cab, I know there is a low and high hump cab, my cab is set up for a sm465 and is a high hump in the center, but this piece could be swapped to the new cab correct? from what I have looked at the cab mounts and everything look to be the same.
