20 hours of wiring in one day
I am slowly bringing my K5 Blazer up to speed. This weekend I tackled some major rewiring efforts.
It started as a quick trouble shoot to get the fuel gauge up and running but then since I had the dash down and all the wiring exposed.....I just kept going for 20 hours...started at 8AM and finished a 4AM slept in the next day Long story short. All gauges work, Reverse lights work in reverse (PO bypassed the NSS and the Backup switch), I have courtesy lights, and the blinker is no longer shorting out. Now to tackle body mounts and find out my my truck shakes at 60mph (hopefully its just tires and not a driveline prob) Here are some pics: The first two show the explosion of wires behind the dash Uglier from the bottom... Here she is all buttoned up...with courtesy lights. I used LEDs and not the stock ones. I had to create a harness (thanks to the previous owner) that connected doors and headlight switch to to turn on the lights. All good now... While cleaning up some of the wiring. I found a random harness connected to these switches/relays but not connected to anything else. So I just pulled it. I have no idea what these switches do or where the harness it supposed to be wired to. The Harness
