Hey, padresag, you are right. I do tend to get over-anxious and wrongly assume that everyone who starts mechanical mods on our pickups is eventually going to X the original tranny for a turbo or overdrive, do the power disc brakes, upgrade to p-steering, adopt HEI ignition, bolt in a rear tranny crossmember type mount, fit a proper driveshaft--the whole 9 yards.

Kgmunro, I apologize to you, the original poster, for maybe having misled you. It was definitely not on purpose. Had my assumptions above been verified, the forward relocation would more nearly have been a proper consideration. Good luck to you and here's hoping you enjoy every phase of the upgrading. If this your first, you have untold joys and self-satisfactions ahead. If not, you already know how fulfilling this good work can be.
