And what if he says yes to $650? You still have no money to buy it or get it home. If he is an older guy, he may not respond to a text. I know i seldom do. (not that i am old)
My advice is figure out what you want to do, Save some money up to buy what you want assuming you won't get your grandpas truck back. When you are ready to pull the trigger, don't jump on the first truck you find and be prepared to negotiate on the phone or in person. I hope you find a job and a truck.
