a37lesalle Registered User Join Date: Mar 2012 Location: Bakersfield calif Posts: 40	HEI with Generator I am running a 283 with standard distributor right now. I was given an HEI distributor to install. My question is, when I install the HEI should I convert the generator over to alternator? I have heard that the generator will not keep up the volts for the HEI.
