Re: My latest toy

Several months ago I began to share my efforts to bring a '69 Suburban back to life as an ambulance like the ones that I rode a lifetime ago. When I started on this I had a goal to have it ready by mid-January. Though a lot of work is still to be done I met my goal to have it ready for my Squad's annual Installation of Officers dinner. In 2013 the all Volunteer Squad celebrates 55 years of service to the community. On each rear quarter panel is lettering that states "Dedicated to Those That Volunteer" in tribute to those fire and EMS volunteers everywhere that give so much to help their neighbors... Thanks to all who do.

The first three photos are the "finished" product...
The last photo it sits outside of the hotel banquet room on display...

Not only did fellow squad members find it interesting to "remember back when" but many hotel guests took the opportunity to look and photograph it.
