Fuel lines for 5.3
I'm really only starting to research what to do about fuel lines for my 5.3 swap. Looks like most people go the AN fittings and line route. Is there any reason to NOT double flare the stock 5.3 fuel lines after the flex line, and then run standard parts-store grade 3/8 and 5/16 hard lines back to the tank? Seems as if a double flare can hold up for a braking system, it should be more than enough for 58PSI fuel system. Not interested in bling, just functional and safe.
Is this a good idea/bad idea, and why? Thanks!
