leaf spring question

Hey there!
I'm new to this site, just got a 72 c10 and the owner before really screwed up the rear leafs to lower the truck, they are not reusable they are cut and welded in the rear of the spring at an angle and the spring is hitting the bottom of my bed when I hit a bump.. anoying.. anyways how can I fix this problem without losing my trucks height and on a budget??
