The last 5 years has been good to these trucks!
5 years ago, I had never owned a 60-66, and frankly almost never saw them at any of the bigger shows or magazines, aside from those submitted by members. While the AD trucks and square bodies were everywhere, our trucks seemed often overlooked.
Then something changed; I don't know what....maybe scarcity of the "traditional" hot rodding and muscle platforms, or simply a growing appreciation for the deco styling and somewhat unusual body lines. I'm not sure really, but I know that they started to pop up here and there. I picked mine up in 2009, and since then I've started to see them more and more. From the larger "chain" shows like Goodguys, down to the corner-store cruise ins. Then I started to see more magazine build coverage, features on automotive TV, and way more *thumbs up* While this may all seem like random banter, I simply felt it was nice to see some more broad-spectrum appreciation for the trucks that we know and love.
