Door seal installation

Hey guys,

I was reading another post from a fellow 60-66 reader about door weatherstipping.

I just tore mine out because the previous owner made a complete mess trying to install them. Adhesive was all over the place.

What's the best way to put these on? I was thinking of running a bead deep in the stripping, then sliding them on and holding them on with 2" tape until the adhesive sets up.

Anyone have a better way? I'm going to be painting the entire cab and jambs in the next couple of weeks and want to minimize any messes I can!
