Big block, small block

Hello, new to thew forum. I am fortunate and actually have a choice, would like some thoughts. I have a 1967 C10 Arizona truck that i am going to restore, frame up. I have a 1971 350 V8 with a turbo 350 transmission, this is my choice. I also have a 1986 454 V8 with a turbo 400, newly rebuilt. I am going to build the small block and use that, truck will be a driver not a sitter. But which transmission? I will use truck to tow boats and medium size trailers. I am thinking turbo 350, 400 is heavier. Anyway, any thoughts?
