Wheelbase

My Blazer has always had a wheelbase 1 inch shorter on the passenger side. Is this common?
It was noticeable when I first got it - all stock tires no lift, the distance between the fender and tire was different. I have installed a 2 inch suspension lift and 33 inch tires, hacked on the fender some for clearance on the passenger side but was not necessary on the driver side.
Reason for asking it has always pulled to the right. Hoping to correct it some way.
