Think I've Identified the "Squeel"
So over the last few months my truck has developed a squeel coming from the front left wheel, or so I thought.
The squeel would start at about 15 mph give or take and increase as I accelerated. This gave me the impression that it was something in the wheel, possibly bearings or brakes. So Saturday I changed the wheel bearings, no fix. Changed the brake pads (they needed it anyways), no fix. I was stumped. I started to recall that my power steering has been a little funny, whinning on some turns or doing so for an extended time. I checked the fluids, all good. Is it possible that this squeel is actually my power steering pump going out? |
