Powerglide Transmission Question?
As I posted a few days ago, I'm in the process of putting my 1965 C10 283 c.i. w/powerglide back together. I took the transmission to a PG specialist with 37 years of experience and this is what I learned: He said that the transmission has a reverse pump which would allow the vehicle to be pull started. During the pull process, the pump builds up fluid pressure until the converter engages and turns the engine over.
True or False? Is he blowing smoke up my "exhaust"? Input folks......
