Holley carb linkage

For the last couple of weeks I've noticed a feeling of a sticking throttle at hiway speeds. I'm cleaning it today and the problem seems to be that the ends of the choke shaft are binding on the extender to the air cleaner (sorry, don't know what to call it). It's just barely touching (at the points circled inthe pic) but enough to keep it from working freely. My first thought was to shave the extender slightly where it binds but that seemed like it wasn't really addessing the issue. Does the choke linkage look properly connected and has anyone else had this problem?
