jayoldschool's advice where he suggested taking vin to dealer & get a key cut. You may have to show
SOME d'ships proof of ownership, so go prepared.

Yes, The car was really not all that messed up. Just some front end damage mostly on the headlight and front plastic. Motor still ran.....and ran good. He parked it and got a job in another state.....then one thing lead to another and well......he ended up staying and never coming back for the car.
I will have to call around and see what I can get done. I don't have proof of ownership but could get a bill of sale. He cant find the keys and I have not asked about the title. I didn't want to push my luck and have him think I was trying to make money on him giving me the car for the motor.
