Patina done... Drop done....
I finally got around to finishing up the patina and lowering kit on my 69 SWB. I followed the Trucks episode method. The only veriation was I did not brush anything on. First coat of flat black then red oxide and final coat of satin white.
I installed the DJM 5/5 kit for rear coils and am pleased with the results. My springs were original so they had sagged some. My starting point was 32" front and 34" rear. As it sits now I have 27 3/4 front and 29 3/4 rear. It sits square on all four sides. No "Chevy lean" here. My wife is painting on the door logos this week. Cannot wait for those. Here is what I started with: Here she is now: |
