Price of a 350

So what would one expect to pay for a rebuilt V8 350 small block from a mid 70's truck. I've looked at the engine and it looks like it has been rebuilt nicely. It's a private seller. For what I want (basically just to get my car running) I think it's fine, but he's asking about $700. It comes with intake manifold if I want it, water pump, and a slew of gaskets. The oil pump isn't new though. Anyway, I know the price is cheaper than getting a rebuilt 350 from an engine shop, especially since I'm taking out a 305 (the engine shop told me if I went from a 305 to a 350 I'd have to eat the core charge b/c they couldn't use my 305). Any info would be great.
Thanks,
Kenneth
