Re: My '67 Stepside build

well, it's been a while since I've had time to make progress on the old gray ghost .... its running pretty smooth.... have accomplished the following:

headlights and tail lights working now...blinkers not, but I'm thinking its the flasher.. respective taillight gets brighter when the the blinker is turned on...just not blinking amazing...all of the interior dash lights work. this truck set in the cow pasture since 1987.

new master cylinder is bench bled and replaced... rear brake lines replaced and front brake hoses replaced. still lots of air...cant seem to get rear bled. barely has brakes.. drove it about a mile down the road up to 40 mph and it drives pretty doggone good. a little slop in steering, but that can be addresses as i move onward through my list.

frozen passenger door latch removed (after drilling out rusted screws) and soaked in pb blaster ...nowworking...just needs re-installed on truck.

plan is to get the brakes working at an acceptable, safe level then I'm going to completely refurbish the interior. The windshield has to be replaced, so I'm going to replace the dash pad and prep, paint the interior while the glass is out. My short term plans are to make the interior like new, get it mechanically very sound and drive it with the funky ol patina on the outside.
