I made it!!!!
Just wanted to say Hi and let everyone know I made it to Texas!!!
Whewww, finally done with the Marine Corps. Time to start the next chapter of my life with My wife and daughter!! I loaded all of my belongings in the truck and drove her from California to Texas with only 1 small problem. In the middle of the Arizona desert the fuel line going into the fuel pump decided to leak. I was getting about 12-13Mpg before (around 250 miles per tank) cruising around 80- 85 Mph (around 4k on tach). We were at 200 miles on the odometer(Fuel gauge still acting up) and poof out of gas!!! I finally got some reception on the cell phone and had roadside bring me 5 gallons of gas. Cost me 10 bucks and 45 min wait, roadside is soooo worth it!!! Drove 20 miles to the next town (after I really torqued down the fuel line) and filled her up. She ran great after that. Sorry to ramble on, but it feels good to be home!!! BTW: After that long trip my truck seems to run better now than ever before!! Wierd!!! She's awesome off the line now. I wonder if it was the long trip, or the air down here? Thanks for reading!!!
