HEI guys I need an opinion
I was doing something under the hood completly unrelated and nowhere near my carb when I noticed my main HEI power lead (red 8ga from fuse block) had a really sh*tty bare and green spade connector on the coil end. I cut and replaced the end and when I fired the truck up the next day it seems my idle is 500 or so Rpm higher than it was before.
Is there any conceivable notion that having a stronger spark could bump my idle up? I checked my throttle linkage and it is not hanging up or sticking. I haven't been anywhere near the carb lately. It's a 600cfm edelbrock with mechanical secondary if it matters
