I am in the process of building a SBC 406 engine. It has a stock crank that has been turned .010 under to clean up. Stock 5.565 rods. Block has been checked for cracks and lined hone and hot tanked. Has new Main Rod and cam bearings. All bearings in engine are new. Heads are 882 castings and have been checked as well and fitted with new valve seats locks and springs. Cam is a hydraulic unit from comp XE262 series. New double roller timing chain and oil pump. Pistons are also new flat top units by Keith Black and are hyperutectics. Comp ratio is 10:1. Engine Hp estimate according to DD is around 350hp and 445 ft lb. torque. Block can be painted color of your choice if you put a deposit down before it is finished. Comes with a Edelbrock intake that has been bead blasted and cleaned. All gaskets are felpro. Engine will have new chrome pan, chrome timing chain cover, and chrome valve covers. $1500 or I can ship via truck. There are a few carriers around here.
