pulled motor and trans (454-th400) out of downer 78 suburban, also pulled out fuel tank and outside mirrors. Was going to just pull it and stick it into the 65 1 ton camper, but soft plug above starter is starting to leak and rear main seal leaking. So decided to pull heads and replace all gaskets, seals and check out. Cam &lifters look good , cylinders and brgs look good, timing chain not so much! So gasket set, soft plugs, timing set, flywheel, and harmonic balancer ordered. will try to remember to take picks of assembly, forgot to take picks of removal and tear down.
