64-66 Dash Panel differences?

How can you tell the differences in year of the dash panel from 64-66?
Reason I ask is I purchased a full gauge panel for my truck and need to get the fuel sending unit ordered with the new tank. Tanks inc. states that 64 and earlier were 0-30 ohms and 65 and later are 0-90 ohms. is this true? I thought they all were 0-30 ohms in these years. If it is true. How do I find out which gauge I have.
Thanx for any help and info you may have..
