Can anybody give me a reasonable shop rate on replacing a 6.2 injection pump?
The reason I've been on and off selling Whitey was my shop's initial seemingly outrageous quote for repalcing the injection pump. They quoted me 10 hours and a final price of $2200, which is in no way even remotely justifiable for as little as I paid for the truck.
However, now I'm reading that it's more like a 4-6 hour job instead. I'm wondering if my shop just didn't want to deal with it. What is a reasonable cost to replace the pump? How many hours should it take for a competent shop to do it?
