1st Time Build - Lower Ball Joint

Hey guys, I'm in the process of assembling a rolling chassis for mock up. My question has to do with the lower ball joints. Obviously to fully mock the truck up I need to install the lower ball joints into the lower a-arms, but can they be safely removed for when I need to get everything painted/powder coated?

At this point, all parts are raw steel (PorterBuilt )

Thanks for any input.
