The GM pins are, in fact, GM pins. The big difference is that the diameter of the Dorman pins is larger than the GM pins, so the Dorman pins won't seat all the way down into the bushings/hinge openings - see my previous threads to view pics of what I mean. I bought standard GM packs of 5 pins and 10 bushings, which were packed from GM and labeled appropriately. If you are concerned about part origin you can do this and sell what you don't need.

I have owned 3 old squares and never had bad hinges, just bad pins and bushings, even in my old 73 rust bucket.
