1987 gmc c1500 - project hauler
Here is my 1987 GMC C1500 All original except for the 30x9.50's roll down windows push down locks long bed 4.3 with auto TH400 I think white steels with dog dish caps.
Plans - - Repaint two tone and add trim - not sure which color or scheme yet but I will have the orig color so I don't have to redo jambs and under hood. Replace Blower motor switch - A/C will freeze you but only works on low. Find loose wire causing stereo to go in and out. Rhino line bed Swap gears 2.73 doesn't even pull my lawn trailer much less my 20' GN stock trailer or GN trailer for tractor. Rally's? Repaint Interior panels Swap 4.3 for 5.7 or bigger Duals with old school chambered glass packs. Replace all weatherstripping. New tool box and rails. Wants - Convert to 3/4 ton 4wd or even 2wd In my part of florida finding one of these is hard in any kind of decent shape. Keep new 5.7 TBI if feasible and not too much programming. 1 ton coil springs up front. If any one in South Florida has a good 3/4 to trade straight across let me know. The good things I have going for me are I am fairly handy at mechanicing and changing parts, one of my buddies is the manager of a local parts house , so discounts can be there, and another buddy of mine owns a large auto body shop. As well as it is not my every day transportation due to having a company truck. Trying to upload pics now let me know if they don't come through please. Truck is very clean owned by older gentleman and set in a pole barn for about 10 years after he passed. |
