Gmmg ls6

I'm getting towards the end of restoring my 1972 K10. After reading through a lot of your threads I was convinced that I needed to go the LS route. I found an LS6 and bought it. It reportedly "came out of a 2002 Special Edition Camaro". I called BS on that but bought anyway gambling that it was a good motor. After further investigation I found stampings on the passenger side top/front of the block that read GMMG-P1 and ZL1-14. I almost believe the guys Camaro comment now. Do you guys know what mods GMMG would have done to this motor? Is it anything special? I'm assuming "P-1" means Phase 1?
