Pi$$ed off on those rocker. Please help!

This is my second attempt at hanging my inner rocker panel and outer rocker panel. The first I completely botched and Im moving much slower this time, however I still dont think I have it right.
In the pic below I tacked the inner rocker in. This is when the door is fully closed. As you can see the door doesnt sit on the lip. Is it supposed to?
I had thought it did on my first attempt however the A pillar didnt sit flush on the inner rocker at all, so I ripped it out
So on my second attempt I trimmed the inner rocker a bit more so now the A pillar sits flush but as you can see in the pic the door doesnt sit on the inner lip
Did I fug this up again? This is quite frustrating
Someone lead me to the promise land!
