cut BBC springs

ok so it is a cold frozen mess outside, so I am inside staying warm and plotting
I have thought about swapping the front springs in my truck with a pair out of a truck that had a 402 in it, cut those down to get part of the 3/4 drop I had planned, with the thought of heavier springs less roll up front to aid in handling in the turns,

any thoughts of this idea?
