What is an L48 350/350hp SBC Worth
Hi,
I have an original L48 motor out of a 1967 Camaro Super Sport thats been in the family for 40 years, with block and head numbers all coinciding to an original L48. I have documentation supporting all. Engine was built in Flint Michigan and then assembled in Van Nuys CA. Block was cast in November 7, 1966. The heads are the 362 version Double Hump heads manfactured October 1966, 1.94 valves, all professional redone with hardened seats and heavy duty valve springs. All like brand new. 64cc with about 10.5 to 1 compression. The motor has just been gone through completely, is 40 over with an Edelbrock RPM intake manifold and the engine and heads and oil pan all painted original chevy orange. No carb, water pump or other items on it. Just the block, heads and intake. The cam is an original Corvette cam grind for the 350 hp corvettes from the same era. Valve train is hydraulic lifters, guide plates and solid rocker arms. Engine has never been run and I'm debating keeping it for another project I come onto, or just selling it on EBAY, Craigslist or on here as a good, solid 350/350 hp high performance motor. What would something like this, with this documentation be worth? I have no idea...hopefully some of the "motorheads" who know more about these older blocks will know. Thanks
