rollercoaster of a build
Bought this blazer when i was about 15/16. all i really did was rebuild engine, bullet line interior, reupholster seats, and cut off first 2 points of roll cage(bonehead move) and painted it white.
3 weeks after pulling it out of the shop, decided id show off to my friends and flipped it. Luckily nobody was seriously injured. One of the worst nights of my life, but now i cant say I'm not happy it happened.
Anyway, wasn't quite done with it yet, so i bought a donor blazer (which i really only used the windshield frame, springs, axle, and hood from) and started putting her back together and straighten out the frame and fenders. I made a custom roll cage for it(6 point) that bolts directly into the windshield frame to keep it real sturdy. Laid out the 3 tone paint scheme which wraps in nicely to the interior. My dad is a big boat guy and was insistent on using awlgrip marine grade clear. Was a ***** to spray on but its got a deeper shine and should hold up better to the sun and weather. Its still not complete in these pictures, I was only able to pull it out of the shop 3 days before I left for my freshman year of college 6 hours away. Should have it in Charleston with me next year.
