72 Blazer Diff interchange question????

Hello all, newby here......

I have restarted working on a project I started some time ago, I'm building a 72 K5 and have most of the body work done, did the engine and tranny 5 years ago, changed it to a 454 engine but I never did anything with the differentials. Still has the 3:08s in there with the stock transfer case.

My question is what options do I have for a 6 lug change over for the differentials. I blew out the rear end last time I took it out into the sand so, I can't even think about putting it back on the road until I decide what rear end to use, what gear ratio would be good with my 35" tires, what would be the most cost effective way to achieve this?

Oh and, somewhere down the road I may want to go with a 700 r4 trans. I kept the 350TH even though I went with the big block. I just made a bracket to hold the kick down cable.....

Any input would be great.
