Original Master Cylinder?

Did a search but couldn't find the answer to my question. Bought a '66 Chevy 3/4 ton a couple of weeks ago, its beat but has fairly low mileage and lots of options. This one has a screw on cap for the master. Which type is original? bale or screw cap or both. Have seen pictures of low mileage trucks with both types, were they used in different applications? Picture of one in question attached.
