Deleting passenger side fuel tank

I've searched a bit and can't find out what to do with all the old wiring on the passenger side. Not really concerned about the fuel selector switch in the dash. I only have two wires hooked up to the driver side tank. If I just ground the ground from the passenger tank would that work. Fuel gauge is not reading.
