Drag Race Class Confusion

I realize that class rules, specs and regulations are in abundance all over the internet, but it seems when I look up classes, the terminology is for those that are veteran racers that already understand, or at least have a good idea of the class they should run.
To make matters worse, it seems as though a lot of classes are relatively the same to me, and I can't figure out the difference.

Could someone please "mentor" me in getting started and assist me with rules and regulations?
To get the ball rolling, my local Drag ways Farmington, NC and North Wilksboro, NC are all 1/8 mile.

Currently my truck is a '72 C/10,
350ci SBC, but was originally a 6cyl., if that makes a difference,
TH350 tranny with a shift kit, B&M MegaShifter
The only mods to the '73 engine is a VooDoo cam with a max .504 lift
HEI dizzy,
Holley 670 Street Avenger carb,
Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake,
Aluminum heads with 2.02/160 valves
Full length headers with flowmasters
Original 12 bolt rear, w/3:73 open diff (for now)
Street tires, 295/50/15 @ 4 corners
Lap belt only, no bars or cage of course

What class would I fall under with this set up?

Near future modifications:
All the above, but mostly forged internals after rebuild possibly bored .30 over,
Small baby blower (Weiand 142 or 144 between 5-8lbs boost)
Wide slicks with 15x10 or 15x12,

Forced induction and/or slicks toss me into another class, right?

My apologies for lack of knowledge and any vital info that I didn't mention.
All advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sid
