Steering Column Orginality Q's

I have a true truck tilt column on the way, but I know it needs some paint work as its scratched decently. While my truck isn't near original, there are some things I want to do original like.

1. Were tilts ever color matched to the truck, or all black?
1a. If color matched, was the whole column color matched, or up to the firewall flange, then black from there into engine bay? (2nd appears to be the way my fixed column is)
2. Indicator housing, only came black, c/m, or chrome for higher trim levels?
