Question Tail light question

I've got shaved taillights and have got those bowtie lights in my rollpan. The prob is, is that thay dont support the brake lights when my lights are on. I've went through many scenarios on how to fix this. I don't want to cut any more holes in my rollpan since I just finished doin' all my bodywork and have it painted. I also like the simplicty of only the two tail lights.

Any suggestions????

I thought of maby just installing some simple red ligts behind the rollpan under the box and just letting them light up the ground when I brake. Would taht look alright?
