Sourcing a tilt column

My truck, while otherwise highly optioned, does not have tilt. I didn't really care until I got my new fat restuffed seats in there, whereupon I discovered that I barely fit. My legs hit the bottom of the steering wheel getting in and almost do just sitting there.

Anyway, moving the column inwards wouldn't help much, so I'm wondering about tilt.

So, two questions:

1) How hard are they to find? I would imagine demand exceeds supply.

2) If I used an IDidIt bare steel one (not the polished billet street rod thing) how close can it be made to look like stock... has anyone tried?
